The oil of the perfumer
The oil of the perfumer
This is a message that the Lord had me bring forth in a home meeting as we traveled many times to Milwaukee Wisconsin many years ago. This home group was a small group who met every time we took the trip to Milwaukee especially for this house meeting. God touched people’s lives with love and unity and the presence of God. I believe this message will touch your heart and minister to you right where you are at in this time. My husband use to say I do not know how she gets these messages. I knew it came from being in the word of God constantly, the presence of God and totally depending on Him in all circumstances. It is never easy when God is preparing you!part of me and selecting the options from the toolbar.
The oil of the perfumer
There are three parts to making perfume with a beautiful scent and there are three persons in making the beautiful scent of the oil of the perfumer, the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The beautiful scent of the oil of the perfumer arises to heaven and fills the inner courts of the Lord. A sweet smelling aroma pleasing unto God that fills the courts of heaven. As I have learned that there are over 1,000 perfumes in the world and only 50 of those are created by the art of the perfumer using his or her talent their nose smelling the scents that work together as music or colors like a musical symphony or a show of colors created to touch peoples eyes and hearts. The rest are based with chemicals or scents that do no last, diluted down, not pure and harmful. Interesting quite similar to the making of the scent of the oil of the perfumer.
In Exodus the word of God says Exodus 30:22-33; Moreover the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Also take for yourself quality spices—five hundred shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much sweet smelling cinnamon (two hundred and fifty shekels), and two hundred and fifty shekels of sweet smelling cane, “five hundred shekels of cassia, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, and a hin of olive oil. “And you shall make from these holy anointing oil an ointment compounded according to the art of the perfumer. It shall be a holy anointing oil. “with it you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting, and the arc of the Testimony, “the table and all its utensils , the lamp-stand and its utensils, and the altar of incense; “the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base. “you shall sanctify them that they may be most holy; whatever touches them must be holy. “And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may minister to me as priests. “And you shall speak to the children of Israel saying; ‘This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations. ‘It shall not be poured on man’s flesh; nor shall you make any other like it, according to its composition. It is holy, and it shall be holy to you. Whoever compounds any like it or whoever puts any of it on an outsider, shall be cut off from his people.’”
Exodus 30:34-36; And the Lord said to Moses: “Take sweet spices , stacte and onycha and galbanum, and pure frankincense with these sweet spices; there shall be equal amounts of each. “You shall make of these an incense; a compound according to the art of the perfumer, salted, pure and holy. And you shall beat some of it very fine, and put some of it before the Testimony in the tabernacle of meeting where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. “But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for the Lord. “Whoever makes any like it, to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people.”
Each of us called by God have choices on how much we will give to God and allow Him to use us for His glory. We are all called to be a living sacrifice and some are chosen to be a total living sacrifice laying everything down to do the will of the Father in Heaven. For many the sacrifice might just be too much of a cost. It will cost you everything! The anointing of God cannot be bought or bartered or given by man. There is only one way and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ and a dying of the flesh (self) and a heart after Him. By allowing God to crush you like the olive so the precious pure oil will flow out of you. It has to be pure olive oil pressed out of the olive and the same for us in order to have the pure oil for the perfumer to make the beautiful scent to flow out of you. There is no residue in the olive oil any part of the olive skin or flesh but only the pure oil. Much like us no skin or flesh allowed but the perfumer will not make us submit to be crushed but sees the heart and allows us to be crushed for His glory and beautiful scent. It is almost like you have nothing left of yourself and you have died 1000 deaths of your flesh to allow the oil to be pressed through and flow through every part of your being and more.
Just like the craft of the perfumer God makes it hard for you because He wants the pure oil and fragrance to flow through you and out to others and he wants the pure beautiful scent. It is not for you to keep! It is not for you to boast in! It is not even for you to give who you want to give it to. It is for God to use you and the anointing the way He wants to use you by submitting totally to Him only and allowing His Holy Spirit to flow out of you and through you. There is the filling of the Holy Spirit as it says in the book of Acts and then there is the anointing that comes upon you and through you for His service to others. 1 John 2:20; but you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. Most people who walk in the anointing of God have not asked for it but have been given the anointing chosen by the Father in heaven for His purpose, for His glory to be seen in the earth, His Testimony. Most who are anointed of God do not enjoy the pressing that has to be done in their lives and there seems to be never ending trials.
God says your ministry will be tested by fire and what is left is what you have. 1 John 2:27; But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
The joy of the anointing is seeing dear ones being touched by God and changed forever. I would like to tell you that it is easy but that would be a lie. That would be perfume that would have pungent odor to it or a perfume with chemicals or harmful to you. Ecclesiastes 10:1; Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, and cause it to give a foul odor; so does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor. God knows what He is doing and He sees the heart of each of us, there is nothing He does not see.
Exodus 27:20; “and you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to burn continually.” The oil and the fragrance have to be pure and acceptable to God with a sweet smelling aroma. All of the spices and fragrances have to be authentic and cannot be imitation in making that sweet smelling aroma unto God. Exodus 25:6; “oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense;
Leviticus 2:10-16; Then the priests shall take from the grain offering a memorial portion, and burn it on the altar. It is an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord. Lev.2:11; ‘No grain offering which you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you shall burn no leaven nor any honey in any offering to the Lord made by fire. Lev.2:13; ‘and every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt. If you offer a grain offering of your first fruits to the Lord, you shall offer for the grain offering of your first fruits green heads of grain roasted in the fire, grain beaten from full heads. ‘And you shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it. It is a grain offering. Then the priest shall burn the memorial portion; part of its beaten grain and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the Lord.
Frankincense represents the aroma of the prayers of the saints and the beaten grain represents our flesh, the oil represents the pressing, the anointing and the Holy Spirit, the fire represents the testing. The memorial portion is in us our flesh being beaten down to where our flesh has no more control over us, the oil is a crushing in us that allows the oil to flow out of us, the frankincense is the prayers that we pray to God with thanksgiving and love even though we are being beaten and crushed that only our love for God rests in our hearts with praise and thanksgiving to Him, the offering made by fire is that no matter what gets burned up we are still giving thanks and praise to our Lord and Master, the Alfa and Omega, the Beginning and the End. We are an offering unto the Lord we were bought with a price. Jesus paid the price for us and suffered for us and was the ultimate sacrifice for our sins a final atonement.
We are to renew our mind by the reading of the word of God and put off our old fleshly ways. We are to be renewed by the Spirit of God. God also says that we will be tested, as with fire and that we are to overcome by the word of our testimony and the blood of the Jesus Christ. When we are beaten and put in the fire we are to trust God and allow Him to allow the oil of the perfumer to flow through us and out to others with a fragrance of frankincense a beautiful aroma unto God. We are the salt of the earth if the salt has lost it savor what good is it. An offering unto the Lord has to have salt or it is not a offering for the Lord. A sacrifice of praise. If it cost you nothing then is it really a sacrifice unto God?
David said in Psalm 141: 2; Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Our prayers are a sweet smelling aroma to God and ascend up to heaven. Rev. 5:8; Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. Rev.8: 3,4; Then another angel having a golden sensor, came and stood at the altar, and he was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.
Are your prayers a sweet aroma to God? Are you still praising Him even though troubled times are all around us. Even though we are beaten down, crushed for the Father’s purpose, is there an authentic sweet aroma coming from you in your praise and thanksgiving. Even though we have things burned up in our lives and ministries are we still giving praise and thanksgiving to our Lord and Master? Rekindle your love for God and run the race that is set before you with thanksgiving and praise and love in your heart for God. For this earth is only temporal and the kingdom of God is forever and forever and nothing can compare to the love and presence of God in our lives and others lives. All the glory of God shall cover all the earth!
